There is a known bug in Cloud Director 10.3.1 when you try to regenerate the SAML federation certificate. Lets run through what happens and how to resolve it!

Below is an image which shows my certificate has expired

Now lets click on Edit and try and then click Regenerate

Click Ok to regenerate

As you can see it shows that the certificate has updated. Now click Save

Below we can see the certificate expiration has not updated correctly…

Now lets try the same process again, click Edit and select Regenerate

Click Ok to regenerate

But this time instead of clicking on Save, click on Discard

As you can see the certificate expiration has now been updated!

This issue in the UI will be resolved in Cloud Director 10.3.3
